I love New York. I know it’s cliché, but it really does have an energy that I haven’t experienced in any other city. Last Labor Day we visited some friends there and had a blast. Maybe that’s why I’ve been thinking a lot about going back. That and the fact that they have a new Broadway show that sounds very intriguing. I found out about it while grading an essay from a student who just went to New York. She wrote that one of her favorite parts of the trip was seeing The Loin King.
I love Broadway shows, and with the trend of casting celebrities as leads, I am excited about who will play the role of the loin king. I vote for Clive Owen or Johnny Depp. The loin princes could be played by Gael Garcia Bernal, James Franco and Eric Bana.
I hope this will be the costume:
I had better start saving up for front row seats.

You are such a close reader. Who else would have caught that?? You are brilliant Jenny girl.
The picture looks very jockular.... What a strappy chappy.
Have a nice day, Boonie
We live fairly close (1 1/2 hrs. each way) to Manhattan, so we get up there fairly often to see shows, shop, eat, play.
The Lion King is an old show...but it IS superb. One of the best productions I've seen. It's been touring the country for several years now, perhaps you can catch it in a city near you.
I am old enough to remember when Blue Lagoon hit the theaters (though I was way too young to see it). What strikes me when I watch it was how damn beautiful (and YOUNG) Brooke Shields was.
What sticks me in the photo above...dude, his package. ;)
Oh yes, yes, yes to all of the above!
This post made me LOL (not loin out loud, although that could be fun). It reminded me of a post I wrote about a scrabble match with my husband long ago. I too got myself into trouble with the L word! - G

if you take a better look at that costume you suggest you will see that the strategic places reveal pretty much all :))))
Wow. Ahem. I can feel my face burning just reading this!
Ha ha ha ha! You can't beat NYC for great shows!
If there was a musical called The Loin King, James Franco would definitely be in it.
Oh I sooooo loved Christopher Atkins!!!!! I want to sleep with, I mean, SEE the Loin King too!
lol! The Loin King! I'm going to start calling The Man that! That's just hilarious!
that second pic has given me an idea...
I'm not a big Broadway fan, but I might go see THAT show. Ha ha!
I've learned to read your posts very carefully. But I do fear my comments are littered with mistakes and may show up as future post fodder.
Nice shot of Christopher Atkins from the Blue Lagoon. Didn't know he did Broadway?!
