I made extensive lists of the cleaning and organizing that would take place during my winter break, but then I won a Blu-ray DVD player at my work Christmas party raffle, and my husband and I figured out how to stream Netflix through it. (Do see She’s out of My League; don’t see Couples Retreat.)
So instead of ending 2010 with a period and starting a fresh, lovely sentence in 2011, it looks like my year will be ending mid-sentence. I guess that would mean my year will end with a hyphen, the kind of hyphen used to divide words at the end of a line when the whole word can’t fit. January 1, I will finish the word and go from there.
Actually, make that January 2; I’ll nick myself if I try to shave my legs while hungover.
How would you punctuate your 2010?

I'd punctuate my year with a question mark.
I also had grand plans for this vacation that involved organizing the house, writing, and preparing everything to for returning to school. Failure on all counts.
Happy New Year!
I would punctuate my year like *#?!##$*!/??@ GRRR
No matter what, I would end my 2010 with a period. In this first year of being a published writer, after twenty years of only dreaming about it, I have busy as heck and worked harder than I ever have before. Did I get everything done or was I as successful as I had hoped to be? No, but I did the best that I could.
That will have to do.
We'll see what the new year brings.
Thanks for the post and *whispering* Happy New Year.

I was fortunate to avoid ending the year with an exclamation mark caused by a loud noise. The end of the year coincides with the end of a day, which is a good time for sleeping. Nice legs - are they yours?
My year would end........
I think my 2010 ended with " and my 2011 started with ". Talking, talking, talking!
January 2nd is ALWAYS the start of the new year for me... and I NEVER put clean house of my to do list (it just makes for one less disappointment that way).
I think watching movies and having some down time was a FINE way to go about it!
Very carefully since I'm kind of clumsy. Hehehehe! Happy New Year to you!! I'm sorry I haven't been commenting as much. The hubs and I are moving to a different state (WI of all places) and have less than 2 weeks to get ourselves packed up and moved there. Basically what I'm saying is I'm very stressed out!!!! (I guess a lot of exclamation points would be how I would punctuate it then.) Any who, I'll be back to checking your blog regularly as soon as I get moved. :)
I appreciate your good thoughts & hope that Lindsay is successful after her extended stay down in Palm Springs.
My punctuation mark would be the ellipses ...
It always has been!
